The story of Legacy of Faith didn't begin with a strategic plan — it began with a 91-year-old woman in a wheelchair named Flo, and a God who answers prayer.
For generations, today's seniors built and sustained the Church. They taught Sunday school, served in choirs, led prayer groups, and gave faithfully for decades. Now, many of them are unable to attend services due to declining health, limited transportation, or placement in senior residential communities.

At a social event sponsored by Dan Williams' employer, a 91-year-old resident named Flo quietly asked if Protestant services were offered at her community. The activity's director interrupted: "Dan... you have no idea how hard it is to get a church volunteer to come." Dan's reply was immediate: "Well, you've found one. Put me on the schedule for at least one Sunday per month — for the rest of my life."
Flo then shared that she and her late husband had once volunteered together bringing Bible study to seniors. With tears, she confessed she'd been praying that if God could bring water in the desert for baptism, He could make a way for her friends to attend church again. That was the moment — the call that launched Legacy of Faith Mobile Ministry.
Legacy of Faith Mobile Ministry is being founded to honor the lifelong devotion of this generation of seniors by bringing worship, Scripture, and pastoral care directly to their doorsteps — restoring access to spiritual nourishment, dignity, and Christian community.
After the resurrection and before ascending to Heaven, Jesus issued the Great Commission: "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost" (Matthew 28:19, KJV). This commission drives everything we do.
"Go" means faith is not meant to stay private — it must move outward. "Teach" means actively sharing the Holy Spirit with people. "All nations" means no one is excluded. And "Baptizing them" means that those who receive this message are welcomed publicly into the family of Christ.
James 1:27 further defines our work: pure religion is visiting those in affliction. For us, that means senior living communities — where thousands of faithful believers have been overlooked, waiting quietly for someone to come.
We commit to honoring seniors for their lifelong faith, wisdom, and contributions to the Church and society. Every interaction is grounded in dignity, attentiveness, and reverence for the unique life experiences of each resident.
Through worship, Scripture, prayer, and pastoral guidance, we support seniors in deepening their faith and experiencing God's presence daily. Age and mobility limitations are never barriers to meaningful engagement with God.
We cultivate authentic relationships and a sense of belonging among residents, volunteers, and staff. Through shared worship and fellowship, we build vibrant faith communities within every senior living environment we serve.
